I am using Asheritah’s book to learn to Rest this year. She uses the word rest as an acronym. As I examine the suggested verse for the day, I observe, and the Lord speaks to my heart new insights. This is what I gleaned on May first…

Psalm 109:28 NLT Then let them curse me if they like, but you will bless me! When they attack me, they will be disgraced/ put to shame! But I, your servant, will go right on rejoicing!

Psalm 109 is a prayer from King David, while under duress from his enemies, vs. 3-4, He goes to prayer asking God to deal with them. As he delights in blessing not in cursing. vs. 15 SO let cursing be far from me. Verse 21 Deliver me Lord,…verse 26 Help me Lord, & I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth. vs. 30
E – Express/confess
Thank you, Lord, that you judge and deliver justice. Help me to rest in your refuge & safety & wait for your deliverance & continue in praising you.
Psalm 7:11 NIV God is an honest judge. He is angry with the wicked every day.

Romans 5:5 NIV And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Romans 15:13 NIV I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 3:19 NIV May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
T – Trust. Me: I want that too Lord. Fill me to overflowing! Let me not be offended by others. Help me to pray for them while I rejoice in your daily blessings.
Galatians 5:16 NLT So…, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
Matthew 5:44 NLT But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!
Luke 6:28 NIV bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Whatever it takes, you must learn to be in Me and let me be in you. Don’t ask how – that shifts you into self-effort…What I AM (God ) telling you is simple but difficult, as it goes against human nature. I want you to meditate on Me by faith, envision My life flowing through your legs and out your feet, through your arms and out your hands, through your heart and out of your mouth. HOLD that Image in your mind. Then go live. That’s it. Trust me & see it. I AM the life that flows through you.”
Lois: This is the premise of the book: Hidden Within. My prayer and heart desire are that my being tuned into God, & awareness that he is filling and flowing through me, revealing His light & love, reveals to those around me see His sweet fruit. (grapes). The praise and glory go to Him alone, for it is His doing! Amen
